None was complaining about. It's a good coice imo :!:
Eventually occasionaly days with thounga as MOW would make the perfect map cycle. ;)


@moon: a hint (and it's not just me that has been <<complaining>> about this): how many people does it require to unleash from the cycle algiers-abbey?
4VS4 is more than adequate for a decent CTF gameplay; but it still obliges people to rotate among just two maps.
Personally, once I have more than 6 players on the server... I would force/allow the normal map cycle.

It takes 8 ppl for 15 minutes before it goes to the large mapcycle.

Aaah! That's the dirty trick.
That makes paritially sense. I thought it was automatical once you had 8 players connected, without any constraint related to time.
Wouldn't it work better if that is lowered for example to 10 minutes?

I'll report a typical situation which usually happens: you play 2vs2 or 3v3 algiers, then abbey.
When a couple of minutes are left you get finally a 4vs4 game... Unfortunately that will force you to play abbey again as next map.

In the case reported above (when for example 5 minutes are left) even a lapse of 10 minutes will still force you again to play abbey, I know... But with the current setting of 15 minutes, in any moment someone joins, you will 100% be sure that next map will be the same as the previous one!
Setting this consraint to 10 minutes.... Would allow you to switch to the normal large cycle, in case someone joins during the first 5 minutes of the map.
Hardly people joins and plays one single map; they stay at least for two. Even three is not so strange (~45 minutes of gameplay). So setting the third map to a different one from the first they played, would make them wonder if to stay or not for a fourth game. ;)

I'm open to it. Let me look into it. I also need to do some checking that the nextmap set on the large mapcycle is not the same as the current or previous map too.

Yep. That would be a charming feature: a lot of assholes love to call votes for a map which has just been played.
If you implement an auto-bitchslap mechanism for those who call these votes... It would be really cool.

P.S. Be sure to punish in the same way also nubs who want to call a vote from command line, but they don't know the name of the map. --> \callvote nextmap algiers :D
